Lyft is seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant in Seattle to own payroll-related journal entries and month-end close for US and North American entities. You will partner with Payroll, FP&A, and Accounting to ensure accuracy and strong controls, driving process improvements and a clean reconciliation.

The role requires 4+ years in general ledger and 2+ years payroll accounting, GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel. Public-company or SOX exposure is a plus, with hybrid in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years general ledger accounting experience, including 2+ years payroll accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own payroll-related journal entries for US HQ and North American subsidiaries.
• Prepare payroll accruals including monthly payroll, bonuses, PTO, and commissions.
• Complete month-end and quarter-end close activities on schedule.
• Reconcile and analyze payroll-related GL accounts per GAAP and policy.
• Investigate reconciling items with FP&A and Payroll teams.
• Maintain payroll records and strengthen internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close work and automate processes.
• Support ad hoc projects as needed.
