Job summary

LHH is assisting a large company in Bellevue, WA to identify a temporary Accountant for their team. The role focuses on reconciliations and year-end support for the benefit/HR group, on-site in Bellevue.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of accounting experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/HRIS systems. This on-site position offers hourly pay between $32 and $35 and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, payroll accounting, benefits accounting, or related experience.
• Strong Excel skills with formulas, lookups, and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile employee benefit accounts.
• Review and reconcile benefit invoices against payroll deductions and enrollment records.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for benefit-related activity.
• Research and resolve discrepancies involving payroll deductions, benefit invoices, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to payroll and employee benefits.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation for benefit expenses and liabilities.
• Assist with accruals, account analysis, and financial reporting.
• Partner with Payroll and HR to ensure benefit deductions and employer contributions are accurately recorded.
