Job summary

Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Iowa is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support payroll processing, general ledger and tax reporting across properties. You will assist the Payroll Manager to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while maintaining confidentiality of salary information.

The role requires strong Excel skills, good communication, and the ability to learn Sage Payroll and TMS. Full-time schedule with days/evenings may include weekends. Equal opportunity employer.

Job description

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for the processing of assigned areas of the payroll process, general ledger & reconciliation, auditing, and payroll tax reporting for Elite Casino Resort properties, compliance with all applicable reporting requirements and other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers, internal and external.
• Responsible for assisting Payroll Manager in ensuring accurate, timely, and secure payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, and all payroll related filing and payment requirements.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining payroll policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with ALL team members.
• Requires strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of all levels of payroll operations.
• Ability to learn, use and teach Sage payroll system and TMS.
• Knowledge of, or the ability, to quickly learn payroll tax rules and regulations, 401K, benefits, garnishment and child support treatment.
• This position has access to sensitive salary information and files and therefore, the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and honesty are essential.
