Job summary

Riverside Casino & Golf Resort is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and ensure timely financial reporting for our property in Iowa. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, supervision of accounts payable and cash management, and collaboration with operations during busy events.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, at least 3 years of accounting experience, 1 year in a leadership role, and excellent Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting, accounts payable and cash management staff, and assist with revenue audit tasks.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings processes.
• Maintain general ledger, account reconciliations and work papers.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with IA sales and use tax filing requirements.
• Implement and monitor accounting and internal control systems to ensure transactions are properly recorded and assets are safeguarded.
• Supervise and guide staff to promote a healthy and efficient work environment.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting team ensuring accurate, complete, consistent, and timely financial reporting for Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.

Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
• The Accounting Manager will:
• Lead the accounting, accounts payable and cash management staff, and assist with revenue audit tasks.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings processes.
• Maintain general ledger, account reconciliations and work papers.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with IA sales and use tax filing requirements.

Required

• IRGC License or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is desired.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Must be highly organized and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior accounting experience required, with a preference for experience in the gaming industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of prior supervisory/management experience required.

Schedule

Full-time that varies based on events and holidays and includes days and weekends.

Based on experience with 80 hours of Paid Time Off upon hire
