Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking an Associate Payments Strategist in a remote-capable role to support Treasury Management Officers and Commercial Bankers in growing and retaining a diverse client book.

You will participate in meetings, analyze portfolios, identify opportunities across payments and liquidity, and help deliver tailored solutions while upholding risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Treasury Management, Commercial Banking or Payments.
• Strong communication, organization, and client-facing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to support sales efforts and manage client relationships.
• Working knowledge of treasury management products and solutions.
• Strong communication, organization and client-facing skills.
• Preferred: executive presence and ability to diagnose client needs.
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced env.
• Understanding of commercial banking payments solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Treasury Management Officers, Commercial Bankers, Relationship Managers, and internal stakeholders to support client coverage and relationship strategies.
• Serve as a day-to-day client contact for assigned relationships, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Participate in client meetings to understand business objectives, cash flow, and operational challenges.
• Identify and support treasury management solutions across payments, receivables, and liquidity.
• Prepare reviews, pricing analyses, proposals, and other materials to support client recommendations and sales activities.
• Coordinate onboarding, implementation, and ongoing service activities to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Ensure adherence to risk and bank standards; escalate issues for timely resolution.
