Job summary

Fifth Third Bank, National Association seeks an Associate Payments Strategist in Houston to grow a portfolio of commercial clients. You will partner with Treasury Management Officers and Relationship Managers to identify opportunities, tailor recommendations to optimize cash flow and reduce risk, and support the sales cycle from discovery to close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Treasury Management, Commercial Banking or Payments
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to support sales efforts and manage client relationships
• Working knowledge of treasury management products and solutions
• Strong communication, organization and client-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with Treasury Management Officers, Commercial Bankers, Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to support client coverage and relationship strategies.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact for assigned relationships, building trust and ensuring responsive follow-up.
• Participate in client and prospect meetings to understand business objectives and cash flow processes.
• Identify, structure and support treasury management solutions across payments, receivables, fraud prevention, liquidity, commercial card and digital channels.
• Prepare treasury reviews, pricing analyses, proposals, presentations, RFP responses and other materials that support client recommendations.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and monitor client activity to uncover revenue growth, retention, expansion and risk opportunities.
• Support pipeline development, opportunity tracking, CRM accuracy, deal documentation and progression toward close.
• Coordinate onboarding, implementation, service, product and follow-up activities for a seamless client experience.
• Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, documentation, and bank standards; elevate issues for timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of treasury management products, sales processes, trends, client industries and financial workflows.
