Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the United States is seeking a Solution Architect within Global Payment Solutions to design end-to-end payment solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant. You will partner across product, engineering, operations, cybersecurity and risk to translate outcomes into practical technology designs.

Qualifications

• Proven solution architecture experience delivering complex distributed systems.
• Experience with ISO 20022 payment solutions and migration challenges.
• Strong API, messaging, or event-driven integration knowledge.
• Knowledge of security-by-design and IAM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture across payments platform initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into designs for applications, data, and security.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts (HLD, LLD, ADRs).
• Design integration patterns across APIs, messaging, and file-based approaches.
• Define non-functional requirements for availability, resilience, latency and DR.
• Embed security-by-design including IAM, encryption and secrets management.
• Govern design through reviews and architecture forums.
