Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, seeks a Management-level leader for the Corporate Revenue Cycle System & Support to supervise cash applications, refunds, and related processes. You will develop procedures to improve payment posting efficiency and ensure month-end balancing.

The role requires 3 years’ supervisory experience in payment posting or a related area, strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in payment posting/management or supervisory roles.
• Strong English communication, computer literacy, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train payment posting specialists, refunds specialists, cash applications specialists and receptionist; conduct performance appraisals.
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures for processing payments and refunds to improve production.
• Oversee processing of refunds and verify credit and documentation.
• Stay current with insurance contracts and troubleshoot reimbursement issues.
• Maintain and oversee deposits, vouchers, and EOBs according to department procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Federal regulations for maximum reimbursement.
• Monitor daily operations and employee performance for quality control.
• Reconcile deposits and perform month-end balancing.
• Review vouchers to ensure correct payments from carriers; conduct meetings on denials and rejections.
• Other duties as assigned.
