Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in payment posting/management or supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of EOBs and vouchers; CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.
• PC and CRT experience; strong leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train payment posting specialists, refund specialists, cash applications specialists and receptionist; conduct performance appraisals.
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures for processing payments and refunds to improve production.
• Oversee processing of refunds with verification of credits and documentation.
• Maintain deposits, vouchers, and EOBs in accordance with department procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for maximum reimbursement and month-end balancing.
• Review vouchers to ensure correct payments from carriers and address denials and rejections.
