Truist seeks a transformational payments leader to guide enterprise Core Payments, overseeing ACH and Wire platforms and a multi-year modernization. You will balance day-to-day stability with strategic transformation, managing a large team of professionals and contractors across risk, operations, and technology.

The role requires executive presence, strong stakeholder management, and a proven track record in leading large-scale payments organizations within a bank environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development and executive technology leadership.
• Broad management and leadership experience leading large, global software engineering organizations.
• Expertise in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and business transformation.

Responsabilités

• Establishes and executes short to midterm operational plans for a software engineering organization.
• Manages managers responsible for design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
• Implements and refines technology standards, governance, and engineering methods.
• Recommends operational plans and improvement strategies to senior and executive leadership.
• Develops and coaches technical leaders and managers to build a high-performing culture.
• Owns budget and resource planning for the job area, including headcount and vendor spend.
• Leads process and tooling improvements to increase reliability of delivery.
• Ensures risk management and regulatory compliance for software development.
• Represents the job area in senior technology forums and aligns teams to decisions.
• Drives adoption of organizational change and new technologies within the area.
