Job summary

CreatorIQ is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a full‑stack team building and scaling a high‑scale payments platform. You will partner with Product to translate requirements into scalable systems, drive the technical direction of a complex distributed architecture, and ensure reliability, observability, and performance in production.

The role combines people leadership with deep engineering expertise to move quickly while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend or full‑stack systems.
• 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems in production.
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and API/service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with event-driven or queue-based architectures (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud platforms, observability, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of full‑stack engineers for a payments platform.
• Own the technical execution and engineering quality of the payments system.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with Product.
• Define and evolve the architecture of a high‑scale distributed system.
• Ensure correctness, reliability, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Drive code quality, testing, monitoring, and deployment practices.
