Qualifications

• Experience leading high‑performing software engineering teams.
• Hands‑on with Java, C/C++, or similar OO languages.
• Design experience for scalable, secure distributed systems.
• Experience building high‑volume, low‑latency transaction platforms.
• Strong knowledge of API design, microservices, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with testing, performance engineering, and reliability practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional engineering team including Software Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and Product Manager‑Technical roles.
• Define technical strategies aligned with Mastercard enterprise priorities and translate business needs into roadmaps.
• Design scalable, secure architectures and review key decisions with architects and senior engineers.
• Guide SDLC practices with emphasis on quality, security, resiliency, and performance.
• Drive unit, integration, and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and promote quality engineering practices.
• Drive performance engineering, benchmarking, and system tuning for high‑volume processing.
• Enforce secure coding standards and security best practices across teams.
• Own operational health, observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering; support SRE and DevOps initiatives.
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis to minimize production impact.
• Drive delivery of strategic initiatives balancing business priorities and technical debt.
