Job summary

This is a Chicago-based engineering leadership role in the Issuing organization. You will lead a team building a best-in-class issuing product, partnering with engineering, product, and operations to deploy secure, scalable payment solutions for enterprise clients and embedded finance partners.

You will drive technical decisions, coach engineers, and manage timelines while addressing technical debt and advocating best practices. Strong FinTech and API knowledge will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management experience.
• FinTech domain experience with Issuing/Banking.
• Strong API-based banking product knowledge or experience.
• Proficient in Java stack and scalable microservices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical roadmap for issuing program construct.
• Build and scale a new engineering team from the ground up.
• Provide technical leadership and set engineering standards for the product.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers for high performance.
• Collaborate with product, clients, and partners to shape features and delivery.
