Job summary

Airbnb is looking for an Engineering Manager on Payments to lead one or more engineering teams responsible for building and operating critical payments systems. You will set priorities, mentor engineers, and partner cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant payment experiences for guests, hosts, and the business.

This remote-friendly US role emphasizes roadmap planning, technical leadership, and nurturing a culture of quality and inclusion.

Qualifications

3–5+ years managing an engineering team in a fast-paced tech environment.
9+ years of software development experience.
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent.
Strong expertise in building large-scale backend systems and user-facing features.
Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Flexible leadership adaptable to various ways of working.
Experience leading and shipping large initiatives with high business impact.
