Job summary

Lewis James Professional is seeking a Payments Operations Analyst for a consulting engagement with a financial services client in Atlanta. You will support remediation efforts across ACH, wire, debit card, and other electronic payments, while reviewing dispute processes and investigations.

You will analyze transaction and dispute data to spot exceptions and defects, reconcile impacted populations, and validate remediation results, collaborating with cross-functional teams to close cases

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fraud operations, payment operations, disputes, risk, or remediation.
• Hands-on experience with ACH, wires, debit cards, or other electronic payments.
• Proficiency with Excel and payments systems.

Responsibilities

• Support remediation efforts across ACH, debit card, wire, P2P, and other electronic payments.
• Review dispute processes including intake, investigation, provisional credit, notifications, escalations, and case closure.
• Analyze transaction and dispute data to identify exceptions, control gaps, and defects.
• Reconcile impacted populations and validate remediation results.

• Review dispute processes, including intake, investigation, provisional credit, notifications, escalations, and case closure.
• Analyze transaction and dispute data to identify exceptions, control gaps, customer impact, and recurring defects.
• Reconcile impacted populations and validate remediation results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fraud operations, payment operations, disputes, operational risk, compliance, or banking remediation.
• Hands‑on experience with ACH, wires, debit cards, or other electronic payments.
• Exposure to Excel and payments operating systems.
• Strong documentation, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
