Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Payments & eCommerce Lead to oversee strategy, governance, and financial performance of the organization's payment ecosystem. Flexible location within the U.S.; responsibilities include staff planning, budgeting, vendor management, and compliance with federal and local regulations.

The role requires 8+ years in payments, a finance or related degree, and leadership experience guiding cross-functional teams in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required. MBA or other relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Experience leading payment strategy, platform ownership, financial analysis, vendor management, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for payment acceptance and disbursement capabilities, including cards, ACH, digital wallets, and emerging rails.
• Establish payment operations, reporting procedures, controls, and standards to support objectives and policy compliance.
• Lead financial analysis, business case development, and reporting related to payment performance and vendor economics.
• Develop and manage payment-related planning, budgets, reporting, and operational plans.
• Direct employees engaged in payment operations and reporting.
• Own relationships with payment processors, gateways, fraud providers, and disbursement vendors; manage contracts and performance.
