Job summary

Arbor Financial Credit Union is seeking a Payment Systems Specialist to ensure accurate and secure member payments and transactions. You will support electronic payments, card services, and resolving transaction issues, while collaborating with teams across the credit union.

The role offers a hybrid schedule in Kalamazoo, MI and opportunities for advancement within the payments platform and related departments. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Financial services industry experience is preferred.
• Strong computer and application skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process, balance, and reconcile payment system transactions and accounts.
• Support payment services operations including electronic payments and card services.
• Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions, disputes, and account issues.
• Monitor payment activity for potential fraud and risk.
• Provide guidance to members and partners on payment-related services.
• Maintain accurate records, GL activity, and vendor communications.

Starting Wage: $17.25/Hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Process, balance, and reconcile payment system transactions and related accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Support payment services operations, including electronic payments, card services, and stop payment requests
• Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions, disputes, errors, and member account issues
• Monitor payment activity for potential fraud, abuse, and risk
• Provide responsive support and guidance to members, community partners, and internal team members regarding payment-related services and transactions
• Maintain accurate records, general ledger activity, and vendor communication
