Job summary

Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. is seeking a Payment Specialist I in Lake Zurich, IL to manage cashier transactions and support the cash department.

This full-time, non-exempt role reports to a Supervisor and requires at least 1 year of cash handling or accounting experience in a high-volume setting. Responsibilities include processing payments/payoffs, sorting mail, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with branch interfaces, wires, and account research while adhering to regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years cash handling or accounting in high-volume setting.
• Strong data entry, basic math, and cash balancing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and solid PC skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Process payments or payoffs using internal servicing software.
• Sort and review payments or payoffs received by mail.
• Coordinate with other departments to process rejected payments and payoffs.
• Assist with Branch Payment Interface, wires, transmittals, reports and account research.
