Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. is seeking a Payment Specialist I in Lake Zurich, IL to manage cashier transactions and support the cash department.

This full-time, non-exempt role reports to a Supervisor and requires at least 1 year of cash handling or accounting experience in a high-volume setting. Responsibilities include processing payments/payoffs, sorting mail, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with branch interfaces, wires, and account research while adhering to regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years cash handling or accounting in high-volume setting.
• Strong data entry, basic math, and cash balancing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and solid PC skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication with internal/external teams.

Payment Specialist I

Full time; Non-Exempt; 37.5 hours/week; Overtime as required.

Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (“Dovenmuehle”) is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide.

General Description

Responsible for processing all types of cashier transactions. Reports to Supervisor.

Essential Functions And Duties

• Process payments or payoffs using internal servicing software.
• Review as well as sorting payments or payoffs received by overnight and regular mail.
• Communicate with other departments to process rejected payments and payoffs.
• Assist with Branch Payment Interface, wires, transmittals, reports, and account research.
• Comply with the Code of Conduct and regulatory training requirements.
• Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of cash handling or accounting experience in a high-volume setting.
• Superior data entry, basic math, and cash balancing skills.
• Solid PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences.

Preferred/Other Qualifications

• Experience with MSP.
• Experience in mortgage servicing.
• Bank Teller experience.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise. The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive) information through multiple methods of communication with clear understanding from others.
