Job summary

SFE is seeking a meticulous Payments Operations Analyst to handle payment investigations, reconciliations, and inquiries in a fast-paced environment. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external banks to ensure accurate, timely resolutions while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in payments operations, strong SWIFT knowledge, and excellent Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in Payments Operations, Banking Operations, Wire Transfer Processing, Payment Investigations, or Reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT Messaging and International Payments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve payment inquiries related to SWIFT types MT103, MT202, MT110, MT199, MT299.
• Perform end-to-end payment investigations to resolve client and banking queries.
• Communicate with correspondent banks via SWIFT and client systems.
• Follow up on confirmations, fund recalls, beneficiary details, and resolutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to expedite query resolution.
• Review Nostro accounts and clear outstanding entries within SLAs.
• Monitor payment queues to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Maintain regulatory and internal controls compliance.
• Provide client support via phone, email, and other channels.
• Prepare MIS and client-facing reports.
• Identify process improvements to reduce risk and improve service.
