Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) or Palmdale, CA, seeks an Electronics Engineer – Payloads Subsystems to provide engineering support for payload systems within an IPT structure.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in STEM with related experience, hands-on experience with payload systems, and the ability to work on-site with up to 25% travel. Top Secret clearance is required or in process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of related engineering experience, or Master’s in STEM.
• Practical experience with payload systems and systems integration.
• Experience with supplier management and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Active US Government Top Secret clearance or eligibility; SCI/SAP clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for a payloads subsystem and report to the subsystem engineering lead.
• Coordinate readiness reviews, site training, test briefs/debriefs, and security with test directors.
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot hardware/software, and investigate defects.
• Coordinate anomalies with engineering and supplier SMEs.
• Support pre-test planning, test execution, and post-test analysis.
