Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking an experienced engineer to lead requirements management, system integration and test activities for payload systems. The role requires handling DOORS-based specifications, MBSE tools, and cross-functional guidance.

Selected candidate will work full-time on-site at our facility, with travel up to 25%. A Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI and SAP clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in STEM with 8+ years of related engineering experience; or Master’s with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
• Experience in integrating payload systems and managing requirements.
• Experience with requirements traceability and DOORS workflows.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools (DOORS, Cameo, MagicDraw).
• Active US Government Top-Secret Clearance (or eligibility).
• Ability to obtain/maintain SCI and SAP clearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements, system integration, test plan development, and test execution for payload systems.
• Develop statements of work, specs, and interface control documents; monitor schedules.
• Perform trades, modeling, and simulations for mission concepts across subsystems.
• Develop lab test procedures and validate test results; document anomalies.
• Configure RF/network testbeds and reproduce operational environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software integration across RF and baseband stacks.
• Support lab readiness: test fixtures, calibration records, test scripts, and reports.
