Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking an experienced aerospace production engineer to support the New Glenn program on the factory floor, driving build readiness, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across structural hardware.

You will coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight hardware, applying your hands-on experience with composites and metallic structures to reduce rework and improve yield.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years in production, test, or sustaining engineering for aerospace structures.
  • Experience with composites structures and on-floor hardware support.
  • Reading engineering drawings and 3D models (Creo/Windchill or CATIA).
  • Understanding structural failure modes and repair/disposition.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary engineering liaison for PA hardware on the production floor.
  • Own MRB disposition of nonconformances and repair plans.
  • Lead triage and root cause analysis for build issues and test anomalies.
  • Support daily production operations and remove blockers.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Requests with design owners.
  • Analyze production defects and drive systemic improvements.
  • Prepare and present technical content for readiness reviews and RCCAs.
  • Maintain status of production risks and process improvements.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
