Blue Origin is seeking a Composites Technician to join the Operations team in Florida. You will manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn fairings, performing carbon layup and using AFP, ovens, and robotic inspection tools.

You will set up productive work areas and support a smooth transition from development to production. The role requires experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field, ability to read engineering drawings, and proficiency with precision calibration tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Expertise with automated fiber placement (AFP) or tape laying (ATL).
• Experience with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn Fairings per procedures.
• Perform composite layup with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and prepregs.
• Operate or support AFP machines, ovens, robotics, and inspection equipment.
• Set up production areas with tooling to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas following 5S principles.
• Troubleshoot and support transition from development to production.
