Job summary

Amentum is seeking a systems engineer to provide system-level integration support for MSFC's SLS Payload Integration group, focusing on CubeSat and small satellite initiatives in Huntsville, AL. You’ll coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams and contribute to requirements verification and documentation.

Ideal candidates have ABET‑accredited engineering degrees, US citizenship, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills; travel to NASA facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; master’s level preferred with experience.
• US citizenship and STAR ID required.
• Experience coordinating across disciplines to resolve integration issues.
• Strong oral and written communication, customer relations.
• Proficiency with Excel and programming basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full CubeSat/SmallSat integration process.
• Assist with requirements tracking and verification.
• Help develop and review technical documentation.
• Conduct engineering trade studies and summarize findings.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, software teams.
• Support day-to-day engineering tasks.
