Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA is seeking a Staff Mission Integration Engineer to own complex spacecraft analysis and serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and Apex engineering teams.

You will lead mission architecture, I&T planning, and cross-functional integration across programs. Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in aerospace hardware or technical capture, strong space systems knowledge, and experience with CubeSat or rideshare missions.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required due to export control.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 12+ years of experience with complex hardware or technical capture management.
• Experience with satellite manufacturing or aerospace/defense sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of space systems, orbital dynamics, and mission ops.
• Experience with prime contractors or government entities.
• Experience with CubeSat/small satellite integration.
• Proficiency in mission analysis tools and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end mission architecture across spacecraft, launch, ground, and ops.
• Lead I&T planning for payload integration and launch vehicle interfaces.
• Serve as primary liaison between customers and internal teams.
• Perform mission trades, including orbital mechanics and trajectory planning.
• Lead CLA, thermal, and EMC analyses; manage mission budgets.
• Travel to launch sites for payload integration and system checkouts.
• Develop technical documentation and integration procedures.
• Support proposals with feasible technical approaches and cost estimates.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.
