Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Payloads to evaluate payload electrical systems and design/test products. This role is primarily office-based with no remote option and up to 10% travel.

The candidate will work with MIL-STD-1553/1760 and UAI-compliant interfaces, manage requirements, perform system integration, and lead test activities across development and production phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM with related engineering experience.
• Experience with payload system requirements and test execution.
• Background in MIL-STD-1553/1760 and UAI compliant interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements and perform system integration across development phases.
• Develop and execute test plans for payload systems.
• Define, design, integrate, test and certify SMS/S&RE hardware and software.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams and maintain schedules.
