Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Payer Account Executive for the Patient Engagement and Care Plans portfolio to drive growth in the payer market and own a payer-focused book of business. You will lead strategic discussions with health plans and insurers, collaborate across Clinical Solutions teams, and negotiate contracts to reflect value for patients and payers.

Qualifications

Proven history of new business development in healthcare payer markets.
Experience speaking with both business and technical stakeholders about EHR/workflows.
Ability to engage C-suite executives and build lasting partnerships.

Responsibilities

Identify and close new business within health plans and payer organizations.
Partner with Clinical Solutions sales teams to build proposals that span the broader portfolio.
Build and execute a penetration plan for assigned payer accounts.
Lead negotiations and close contracts for new sales reflecting value for patients and payers.
Prospect consistently to build a strong opportunity pipeline and forecast new business.
Build relationships with C-suite payer executives to align solutions with financial/clinical priorities.
Own deal status updates across internal teams to keep the sales process moving.
Educate internal leadership and external stakeholders on payer market trends.
