Job summary

You will work with IPC teams, Social Security, Medicaid, vendors, guardians, and case managers; balance and reconcile accounts, prepare payments, and assist with audits. Strong bookkeeping, org skills, and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; college accounting coursework preferred
• Two years’ bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of people with developmental disabilities
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with electronic record keeping
• Valid Wyoming driver’s license and insurable

Responsibilities

• Recording and balancing accounts
• Interpreting Social Security benefits
• Assisting individuals with budgeting available funds
• Collaborating with Social Security, Medicaid and other government agencies
• Filing timely reports
• Assisting with audits (HUD, Social Security, Medicaid, Source America, etc.)
• Maintaining confidentiality of representative payee records
• Balancing and reconciling accounts monthly or as assigned
• Preparing and posting payments and transactions for payee accounts
• Receiving invoices and making payments for assigned accounts
• Ensuring compliance with Magic City policies and procedures
• Placing and receiving calls for the Business Services Department
• Modeling a positive attitude for persons-served and staff
• Keeping files up-to-date and secure; safeguarding information
• Addressing agency concerns and using grievance procedures when needed
