Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring a Chipper in Michigan City, IN. You will construct, repair, and maintain patterns, core boxes, flasks, and tooling for mold production, interpreting blueprints to plan accurate builds and selecting materials accordingly.

You will operate milling machines, drills, grinders, and welders, applying finishes and performing precision fabrication. Safety and quality checks are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to compute calculations for materials.
• Experience in a demanding manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches to plan builds.
• Operate metalworking machines (milling, drills, grinders) and welding equipment.
• Select materials, construct patterns and core boxes, and ensure tolerances.
