Job summary

SPX Technologies in Michigan City, IN is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, maintain and repair machinery in a foundry environment. The role includes welding and testing pipelines, as well as maintenance of plant systems.

Requirements include a Journeyman Card or equivalent, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong reading/writing skills. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a non‑climate controlled foundry. Previous foundry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Card or equivalent amount of experience/education.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machinery and related components and accessories.
• Perform required electric arc and acetylene welding operations.
• Test, inspect, lay out, maintain, and replace or install pipelines, tubing, fittings & fixtures in plant maintenance & construction.
• Occasionally lay out and direct the work of helpers, mentor and assist lower‑scale maintenance technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.
