Job summary

City of League City Library is seeking a dependable staff member to provide excellent customer service to library patrons and internal city departments. The role emphasizes representing the library’s mission, assisting with reference and information services, and supporting programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of library experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and ILS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Staff library service points and perform general library tasks.
• Assist patrons with accounts and access to collections and services.
• Provide referrals to appropriate collections and staff.
• Maintain and organize assigned areas, reshelve materials.
• Support library programming and promotions.
• Process incoming and outgoing materials.
• Work independently on routine tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.
