Job summary

City of Englewood's Part-Time Library Associate – Patron Experience provides exceptional customer service by assisting library patrons with circulation, account help, and basic technology support. You will process materials accurately and help patrons access resources using the Sierra system.

Daily duties include issuing cards, answering questions in person, by phone, or email, and delivering reader’s advisory guidance while promoting an inclusive, welcoming library environment and upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field required.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Public library and/or bookstore experience preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver circulation services, issue new cards, and use Sierra to check materials in/out.
• Provide library information, technology assistance, referrals, and reader’s advisory guidance in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Respond to patron needs with high-level customer service in person, via phone, and via email.
• Prepare items for holds, returns, and processing of courier-delivered materials.
• Assist with program hosting, outreach, and library promotions.
