Job summary

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is seeking a part-time Guest Services Representative to serve as a key contact between the orchestra and the public, handling ticketing tasks and delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes selling single tickets and subscriptions, processing exchanges and donations, responding to patron inquiries by phone, email, and in person, and supporting onsite box office operations during concerts to enhance the patron experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills.
• Must be available daytime business hours and able to work select evenings, weekend concert shifts, and occasional holidays.
• Experience with Tessitura preferred.
• Previous box office or ticketing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives to reach inbound revenue goals and meet service levels in the call center.
• Take inbound calls, make outbound follow-up calls, and handle first-level escalations.
• Ensure major donor ticketing needs are coordinated and resolved professionally.
• Provide superior customer service at the box office and over the phone.
• Process ticket sales, exchanges and donation transactions using Tessitura.
• Process cash, check, and credit card payments and assist with daily reconciliation.
• Support additional guest services duties as needed.
• Support Guest Services during concerts at other venues when required.
