Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Access Control with an active DoD Secret Clearance for a full-time role in Santa Rosa, CA. You will monitor access points, perform patrols, and deliver professional customer service at a technology and telecommunications site.

The position requires at least 6 months of security-related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
