Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Access Control and Patrol duties at a San Diego, CA site. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a DHS background check/drug screen and a high school diploma, with a DoD Secret clearance for certain positions. This is a full-time opportunity with shift-based hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by following security-related procedures, site policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points and perimeter to identify hazards and report policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate patrol and incident reports as required.
