Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Access Control for our Santa Rosa, CA location. You will safeguard clients across tech/telecom environments, monitor access points, and perform patrols to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance (if armed) and a background check, with licensing and age requirements as applicable. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• State/city security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control Security Clearance in Santa Rosa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
