Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Access Control for our Santa Rosa, CA location. You will safeguard clients across tech/telecom environments, monitor access points, and perform patrols to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance (if armed) and a background check, with licensing and age requirements as applicable. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• State/city security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking lots, and perimeters.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations to leadership and site contacts.
