Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a compassionate Transport Associate to move patients and equipment safely across departments within the Medical Center. You will transport patients in a safe manner, assist with transfers, and maintain equipment PAR levels while collaborating with colleagues in the Patient Transportation Department and other units.

Qualifications

• Two years customer service experience.
• The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job.
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
• Performs various patient related activities, as assigned and ensures safety with proper body mechanics.
• Maintains PAR levels for equipment across locations and collaborates with co-workers in the department and other units.
• Uses Epic software to track each patient's location and monitor equipment movement throughout the facility.
