Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Hospital Transport Specialist to move patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center. You will perform patient-related tasks while ensuring safety and proper body mechanics at all times.

The role requires maintaining PAR levels for equipment, collaborating with co-workers across departments, and using Epic software to track patient locations and equipment movement throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification required or preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment to/from various departments within the Medical Center.
• Performs patient-related activities as assigned.
• Transports are performed safely with proper body mechanics at all times.
• Maintains PAR levels for equipment across the Medical Center.
• Uses Epic software to track each patient’s location as they travel to/from designated areas.
• Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
