Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients and equipment across Mercy Medical Center. This role emphasizes safety, proper body mechanics, and cooperative teamwork with the Patient Transportation Department and other teams.

Certification in BLS/CPR is required when employed. The position requires ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, and the use ofEpic software to monitor patient and equipment movement.

Qualifications

• Two years customer service experience.
• Ability to learn and use hospital software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within Mercy Medical Center.
• Maintains PAR levels for equipment in multiple locations.
• Uses Epic software to track each patient’s location and equipment movement.
