Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Transport Associate to move patients and equipment between departments at the Medical Center. You will operate with safe body mechanics, use Epic to track patient locations, and maintain equipment PAR levels across the facility.

The role requires teamwork with the Transportation Department and other areas of Mercy. Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years customer service experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment to/from hospital departments.
• Use Epic to track patient location as they move within the facility.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Collaborate with coworkers within Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Follow safety and body mechanics guidelines during all transports.
