Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Transport Technician to move patients between departments with safety and courtesy. You will assure patient identification, assist in transfers and coordinate with nurses and testing staff. CPR is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and have strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multi-task.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments/units, ensuring patient Id, comfort and safety.
• Care for and clean wheelchairs/stretchers and monitor oxygen supply and equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with other transporters and communicate patient information to nurses and testing departments.
