Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Regular-Shift Transporter to move patients by stretcher, wheelchair, or cookie chair to various locations within the facility. The role may involve transporting medications with patients and assisting with oxygen connections as needed.

Required education is a High School Diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) is mandatory. Prior healthcare experience is preferred and strong documentation and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
• BCLS training provided
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers or cookie chairs required
• Ability to stand or walk for periods of time required
• Ability to use handheld electronic devices/computers required
• Excellent documentation skills required
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service required
