Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Patient Transport Technician to move inpatients and outpatients within the facility, transport medical records, and assist with equipment and specimen delivery. The role requires strong communication and strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, delivering items via pneumatic tubes, guiding patients and visitors, and ensuring transport equipment is clean and functional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to maintain the highest measure confidentiality.
• Good oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients within the facility from start to destination (70%).
• Deliver equipment, materials and specimens using the pneumatic tube system (20%).
• Serve as a hospital ambassador and provide information and directions to patients and visitors (5%).
• Maintain cleanliness and good working order of transportation equipment (5%).
