Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Manager, Patient Transport to oversee daily operations of the Patient Transport team within the Support Services framework. You will supervise staff, coordinate transport requests, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with leaders across departments to meet service and safety standards.

Experience in healthcare transport, strong communication skills, and budget awareness are essential as you drive performance improvements and patient safety outcomes

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience in healthcare/patient transport preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to lead and direct a large group of employees required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and assignments required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes interpersonal customer service skills, manages transport requests and scheduling.
• Oversees training of transport staff and ensures policy compliance.
• Provides coaching and feedback on staff performance.
• Manages department budget and financial data.
• Maintains inventory and performs quality assurance checks.
