Job summary

Valley Health System in the United States is seeking a Patient Transport Team Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure safe patient movement, and uphold department policies. This role reports to the PATIENT TRANSPORT Team and oversees scheduling, staff training, and quality assurance.

Two years of healthcare transport experience and supervisory skills are preferred. Candidates should have strong communication, the ability to manage personnel and budgets, and a commitment to compassionate

• Oversee inventory, equipment use, and quality assurance checks.
• Provide guidance and motivation to staff to maximize performance.

Department PATIENT TRANSPORT TEAM – 206014 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift First Shift (United States of America) Pay Range $23.07 – $35.76

Responsibilities and Duties

• Utilizes interpersonal customer service skills, understands the process for transport requests and managing software, oversees training of transport staff, assists with scheduling, and assuring compliance of all policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Coach, counsel, and train team members on department policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient transport of patients and employee safety.
• Consistently demonstrates collaboration with all departments and acts as a liaison for the Transport Team.
• Promotes individual/team accountability for performance measures.
• Provides feedback on daily staff performance, annual evaluations, and disciplinary processes as requested.
• Oversees department financial data and statistics and ensures the department operates within budget.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to enable each one to perform to his/her fullest potential.
• Conducts quality assurance checks and manages materials inventory as well as general use of equipment.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
• Contribute to the success of the organization through achievement of system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

• Two years experience in healthcare/patient transport environment preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
