Job summary

Southern Indian Health Council is hiring a temporary Driver in Campo, CA to provide transportation for eligible patients. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with compensation of $21.00–$27.58 per hour DOE.

The role requires a valid California driver license, 18+ years of age, and a clean driving record. Responsibilities include transporting patients, coordinating with the transportation team, maintaining mileage logs, vehicle maintenance reporting, and adhering to traffic laws.

Qualifications

• Driving experience required.
• A good driving record will be required at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports adult and youth patients; delivers Senior meals.
• Coordinates with the Senior/Transportation Coordinator and SIHC departments to transport clients when required.
• Maintains a log of transportation by date and time, delineating point of departure, pick-up, destination, and mileage.
• Maintains the servicing of government vehicles and reports on vehicle usage (mileage) at the beginning of each month to the SIHC Maintenance Supervisor.
• Follows posted speed limits, caution signs, and traffic signals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule may be required based on need.
• Other duties as assigned.
