Job summary

Glendora Hospital is seeking a Program Aide (Driver) for our PHP Program. The driver will transport patients and staff to appointments, outings and emergencies in a safe manner while performing errands and STAT requests.

Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient privacy in all movements. Ideal candidates have a valid CA driver license with a clean DMV record, a DOT physical, and experience in health-care transportation, with BLS/CPR readiness within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CA Driver License with good DMV record.
• Current DOT physical.
• Health Care Transporting experience.
• AHA - BLS within 30 days from hire.
• Knowledge of area roads and vehicle safety.
• Flexibility, reliability, professional image and guest relations skills.
• Motivated to be directly involved with patients.
• Must be able to assist and identify patient needs during transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and staff to and from appointments, outings and emergencies.
• Carry out errands as assigned and respond to STAT requests immediately.
• Protect health information per HIPAA and local/state laws.
