Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (required)
• 1-3 years Prior experience working in Dispatch, EMS, or in a hospital setting (required)

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with hospital staff to coordinate patient transport services for SEIRMC and HCHC.
• Plans and directs transport requests to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Collaborates with referring facility to arrange and schedule transfers.
• Uses knowledge of geography and service area to analyze transport times and calculate arrival times.
• Interacts professionally while coordinating transfers with healthcare professionals.
• Operates computers, software, and multi-line phone system.
• Ensures provision of optimal transportation services to patients and referring agencies.
• Reviews, analyzes and determines opportunities for documentation improvement.
• Adapts to staff and customers to provide effective communication with physicians and leaders.
• Timely follow up on all cases.
• Manages and analyzes multiple tasks to prioritize transfers.
• Evaluates patient care reports for completion for billing purposes and submit for billing.
